I originally created this site to support my English 340 “Myth and Literature” course.  As I am no longer teaching that course, I am re-purposing this blog as a “New Myth” project.  This is about “thinking mythically.”  Conventional wisdom is that after the sophists and Plato and Aristotle, humankind evolved from mythos to logos.  However, even a cursory glance at our current politics reveals that rationality has not prevailed.  Perhaps a new mythos will help.
